Directed by Marion Hancel, 'Rio Arriba' is a drama co-produced by Belgium, the Netherlands and Croatia. The film tells the story of Homer and Joé, both fifty-somethings, who embark on a small boat trip in Croatia to find out why their father died. The two men did not know each other until the recent death of their progenitor, when they learned that they were stepbrothers. Later, an Irish adventurer, Sean, joins the duo. The three enter an unforgettable adventure where they will have to face numerous obstacles that will force them to confront the secrets of the past. However, as a result, a special complicity will emerge between the components of the trio.
