Emmanuelle

Emmanuelle is looking for a pleasure she feels she has lost. She is one of the employees of a luxury hotel which proposes that she go to Hong Kong to check on the drop in income that one of its establishments has suffered. When she arrives at the hotel she finds that it works perfectly, there are no problems. Realizing this, she begins to look for an excuse to fire its director. During her stay in Hong Kong and while continuing with the assigned task, she meets Lee Jae-Yong, a very attractive executive who maintains his anonymity in front of the hotel and who has very mysterious routines. Emmanuelle begins to develop an obsession with this person which causes her to even start following him. But, the level of obsession she reaches ends up affecting the quality of her work and makes her fail.

This is a French erotic drama directed by Audrey Diwan. The lead role is played by Noémie Merlant. The cast also includes other big names such as Naomi Watts or Jamie Campbell Bower. It is a new version based on the novel 'Emmanuelle' written by Emmanuelle Arsan, which was not officially published until 1967, although it began to be distributed clandestinely in the 1950s.
