Emmanuelle

Emmanuelle seeks to find a pleasure that she feels she has lost again. She is one of the workers at a luxury hotel chain, which proposes that she go to Hong Kong to review the decline in income that one of its establishments has suffered. When she arrives at the hotel, she finds that it is functioning perfectly, and there is no problem at all. Realizing this, she begins to look for an excuse to fire her director.

During her stay in Hong Kong, while continuing with the assigned task, she meets Lee Jae-Yong, a very attractive executive who maintains his anonymity in relation to the hotel and has very mysterious routines. Emmanuelle begins to develop an obsession with this person, which leads her to even start following him. However, the level of obsession she reaches ultimately affects the quality of her work and causes her to fail.

This is an erotic drama of French origin directed by Audrey Diwan. The leading role is played by Noémie Merlant. The cast also includes other big names such as Naomi Watts and Jamie Campbell Bower. It is a new version based on the eponymous novel written by Emmanuelle Arsan, which was not officially published until 1967, despite having begun to be distributed clandestinely in the 1950s.
