Els encantats

Irene is a women in her thirties who has recently divorder, and for the first time she has to face the abscence of her four year old daughter as she is spending some days with her father. Overwhelmed and unable to confront her new reality, she decides to keep going no matter the cost, and travels to the little town from hr childhood in the Catalan pyrenees, looking for the sensation of calm and security she lost a long time ago. Vegetation, omnipresent nature and the legends and myths around her will only resurface more the failure sentiment she's been dragging for years. A place that was so familiar in the past becomes as overwhelming as her new life, and the loneliness will force her to stop running away and confront her fears.

'The Enchanted' is the third feature film directed by Elena Trapé ('The Distances', 'Blog'). The director and writer has won a Gaudí Award, one from Málaga Festival and one Sant Jordi. In her own words, "she doesn't make autobiographic cinema, but she does have a bond with the emotions within her scripts".

A production by Coming Soon with A Contracorriente Films. The shooting was set for the most part in Antist, in Vall Fosca (Pyrenees). The cast is headed by Laia Costa ('Lullaby', 'Foodie Love'), Ainara Elejalde, Pep Cruz ('The Laws of the Border'). Daniel Pérez Prada ('The Ministry of Time', 'The Countryside') and Aina Clotet ('The Wild Ones', 'Mirage').
