Set in the Virgen Blanca Parties
The film and the book are set in the Vitoria's Virgen Blanca Parties. The 4th August is one of the big days for the people who live there: after the chupinazo which shows the start of the parties, the Celedón, a doll with a beret, cross the sky from the San Miguel church with his umbrella and when it arrives to the square, transformed in a human being, it walks around the people to read its speech later, a tradition with fifty years of history.
Second time with Aura Garrido
Daniel Calparsoro returns to direct Aura Garrido on the tape after previously coinciding on 'El aviso'.
A novel adaptation
This film is the movie adaptation of the novel by the same name, the first part on the literary phenom that is the 'Trilogy of Ciudad Blanca', written by author Eva García Sáenz de Urturi.
Shooting between Madrid and Vitoria
The film was shot for a total of 12 days in Madrid and another 35 days in Vitoria.

'El silencio de la ciudad blanca' was thought to premiere at first on 30th August 2019.

Director's notes
In the director's notes that appears in the film dossier, Daniel Calparsoro said that they had to film out of Gasteiz because it was impossible to do it at the middle of the local parties.
