A cunning con man intends to take financial advantage of a little girl who the people of his town consider miraculous and who supposedly has visions of the Virgin Mary, and whom the locals have nicknamed "the Blessed One". The little girl's parents also want to profit from this and join him in this venture, although their business will become much bigger than they expected, to the point where it gets out of hand. The plot will intertwine the faith of the people with the unscrupulousness of the swindlers, both with the community and the girl, as well as greed and fraud.

It has been directed by Tito Jara, author of 'A tus espaldas'. It has participated in international festivals such as the Havana International Film Festival (Cuba) and the Trieste Latin American Film Festival (Italy). The cast includes Andrés Crespo ('Narcos', 'Sin muertos no hay carnaval: Such Is life In The Tropics?), Carlos Valencia ('Hacia la oscuridad', 'Tierra de serpientes') and Emilia Ceballos ('Verdad Oculta', 'Sin senos sí hay paraíso'), along with Renata Jara and Lydia Navas. The film was produced in Ecuador, Colombia and Spain by Atefilms, HotelB Filmes, El Médano, MGC Márketing and with the collaboration of RTVE. It was distributed in Spain by Begin Again Films.
