Plot
The film tells the story of Alma, a girl of 20 who works at a chicken farm located at a village in Castellón. His grandfather is the person she most loves but one day he stopped speaking and remained so over the years. Now his grandfather also refuses to eat, so Alma decide to go in search of an ancient tree that the family owned and sold 12 years ago against his will. Without any plan and money she will embark on a European tour in order to recover the olive tree, which will accompany her uncle "Alcachofa" who is ruined by crisis; her workmate Rafa, her friends Wiki and Adele and other people in town.
'The Olive' is directed by Icíar Bollaín ('In a Strange Land') and starring Anna Castillo ('La llamada' musical) and Javier Gutiérrez ('2 francos, 40 pesetas', 'Marshland').
