El mundo de Nelsito

Nelsito is an autistic 16 year old boy who one day runs away from home and is victim of a car accident. Laying in bed in the hospital he starts using an imaginary pen to unveil the dark side he percibes in all of those who surround him: evil children, murderer women, young swindlers... When Nelsito reunites with his family and people they all seem simple neighbors and friends, real and mundane, with nothing out of the ordinary... But who are the real ones? The ones he sees now or the ones he imagined?

'El mundo de Nelsito' has been awarded in the Miami International FilmFestival and in the Málaga Festival. Directed by Fernando Pérez, Cuban filmmaker in charge of movies like 'Madagascar' (1995), 'Últimos días en La Habana' (2016), 'La vida es silbar' (1998) and 'Suite Habana' (2003). He writes the script with Abel Rodríguez, who already worked with him in 'Últimos días en La Habana'. Production is done by Danilo León, José María Morales, Ramón Samada and Gustavo Fernández, with Daniel Díaz as director of production. Photography is directed by Raúl Prado.
