Plot
Barbara Novak (Zellweger) is a writer who has acquired fame and success with her last book, 'Down with love', which has become feminist ensign and an example for deal with men that prosecute women around the world. However, there is journalist from a gentleman magazine, Catcher Block (McGregor), plans to unmask her and prove that she deeply wants the same like many other women: marriage and be loved. For that purpose, he will pretend to be a shiny spaceman called Zip Martin to break her heart.
Directed by Peyon Reed ('Bring it on'), 'Down with love' is a romantic comedy set in the 60s that pays tribute to romantic comedies from Rock Hudson and Doris Day like 'Lover Come Back' and 'Pillow Talk'.
