Diabolik

The story takes place in the 1960s in the state of Clerville. A magnificent pink diamond in the possession of Eva Kant attracts the attention of Diabolik, the most efficient and elusive thief in existence, with a lot of tricks up his sleeve. However, Inspector Ginko will try any possible way to catch him.

Based on the comics by Angela and Luciana Giussani, 'Diabolik' is a different version to 'Danger: Diabolik', the Italian cult film directed by Mario Bava in 1968 which, among other things, included an original soundtrack composed by the master Ennio Morricone. The film was directed by Antonio and Marco Manetti and written by the Manetti brothers themselves together with Michelangelo La Neve and Mario Gomboli. It was produced by Rai Cinema along with Astorina and Mompracem and distributed in Spain by Flins and Piniculas.

The cast is headed by Luca Marinelli as Diabolik, Miriam Leone as Eva Kant and Valerio Mastandrea as Inspector Ginko. The rest of the cast will be composed by Claudia Gerini, Alessandro Roja, Serena Rossi,

Roberto Citran, Vanessa Scalera, Stefano Pesce, Lorenzo Pedrotti, Luca Di Giovanni and Antonino Iuorio.

The character of 'Diabolik' first appeared 1962 in the Giussani sisters' comics. He had a great presence in Italy in the 60's and 70's.
