Plot
'Dheepan', played by Jesuthasan Antonythasan, is the main character in Jacques Audiard's newest film partially inspired by the 'Persian Letters' by Montesquieu. The main plot focuses on a civil war occurring in Sri Lanka where Dheepan is from. He decides to leave the country while he is able to. He meets a woman and a child and he forces them to be his fake wife and fake child to get political asylum in France. When they finally get to their new promised land they will have to adapt to their new life as a "family" and also they will have to learn a new language. But things would get worse for Deephan so he will have to manage all the problems that may occur. 'Deephan' won the Palme d'Or at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival
