Destierros

Titled in Basque language 'Gure oroitzapenak (Our memories)', this film is a collective project whose objective is to honor the life and work of the writer, poet and translator Joseba Sarrionandia through the vision of 12 filmmakers, in which each one offers a different approach to Sarrionandia's work. His poems, stories, essays, his literature in general is reflected in different areas of the audiovisual, leaving an interesting collective film in which the look is different. For a long time, Sarrionandia has been a faceless poet, hidden in black and white images for 30 years, forgotten by the new generations. Eight directors of the autonomous communities of the Basque Country and Navarre and also four other directors from other foreign countries. Each one, through 12 different pieces, bring a document full of affection and admiration for the writer from Iurreta. In addition to the 15 directors, the film also involved more than 200 people who wanted to pay homage to the life and Joseba Sarrionandia's work.
