Death Note

Light Yagami is a bright institute student, who detests the crime and corruption of the world. His life changes completely when he discovers a mysterious notebook, falling from the sky, known as Death Note.

The instructions in the notebook are simple: when the name of a person is written on it, the person will die of a cardiac arrest. At first Light does not believe anything about the authenticity of the notebook, thinking it is a joke. After testing the notebook with two criminals and seeing that they have died, Light realizes that the notebook is real. After meeting the previous owner of the notebook, a Shinigami named Ryuk, Light decides to become the 'God of the new world' judging the same to the criminals and being the executioner.

The number of dead criminals begins to rise and that attracts the attention of international police and a mysterious detective named L. L quickly discovers that the serial killer, who calls himself Kira (Light), is in Japan. L also discovers that Kira can kill his victims without touching them. Light turns L into his rival and starts a race between the two to prove his superiority.
