Plot
After the star of the National Classical Ballet tragically commits suicide, Irene is selected to replace her in the company?s largest ballet production: 'Giselle'. This decision unleashes the jealousy of her companions, who begin to treat her with cruelty and helplessness. However, Irene finds comfort in the new dancer, Aurora, a lonely teenager dominated by her mother. Isolated and pressured by the sacrifice of winning in dance, Irene and Aurora?s relationship becomes ever closer, while becoming obsessive. Together they will embark on a journey towards self-discovery.
María Pedraza ('Toy Boy', '¿A quién te llevarías a una isla desierta?'), Paula Losada, Marta Hazas, Ana Wagener, Jota Castellano, Olivia Baglivi, Mona Martínez, Fernando Delgado-Hierro, Silvia Kal, Juanjo Almeida and Iria del Río are the actors and actresses who make up the cast of this film, directed and written by the filmmaker Jota Linares ('¿A quién te llevarías a una isla desierta?'). In addition, he also participates in the screenplay Jorge Naranjo ('Casting').
'Dancing on Glass' was presented on 25 March 2022 in the Official Feature Film Section in competition at the 25th edition of the Malaga Film Festival.
