Daaaaaali!

Judith Rochant (Anaïs Demoustier) is a young French baker who wants to make a documentary about Salvador Dalí (Edouard Baer), the well-known surrealist artist. To do this, she meets with the painter on a farm to shoot that footage, since Judith is also a journalist.

After meeting Dalí, Rochant discovers the real character of the genius: an arrogant, unpredictable person, without any type of compromise to anything, who only wants to do his work whenever and wherever he wants. In the movie we see the artist crashing with heavy cameras that end up breaking, being disrespectful to the work of others and doing whatever he wants.

The film, full of humor and satire, also has abstract and surreal moments in its calm setting, making complete allusion to Dalí's work. At a given point, it seems that even himself, as he reads in a newspaper, knows that he is going to die in the near future. Will Judith be able to make her documentary and prove herself? 'Daaaaaali!' is a film directed and written by French filmmaker Quentin Dupieux, and stars César Award winner Anaïs Demoustier. The film has won the Critics' Prize at the BCN Film Fest.
