Count Me In

Throughout the eighty-one minutes that this documentary feature lasts, a window will be opened to the world that very rarely before has had its own place. 'A Question of Rhythm' is a film that celebrates rock, good rock, but from an angle that is seldom represented in articles and other awards: that of the drummer. Normally, the musicians in charge of the percussion are the most forgotten of these bands, they seem to camouflage themselves behind basses and guitars, but they are there, providing the basis of the music: the rhythm.

'A Matter of Rhythm' tries to value the figure of this percussionist by bringing the history of celebrities of the instrument closer to the big screen: Taylor Hawkins from Foo Figters, Nick Manson from Pink Floyd, Stewart Copeland from The Police, Cindy Blackman from Santana and Lenny Kravitz, Chad Smith from the Red Hot Chili Pappers, John Bonham from Led Zeppelin and even the drummers of the legendary English band Queen, Roger Taylor. All of them participate in this documentary where they finally have a space to show themselves as they really are and say what they need.

In addition, the film also tells an even less told story: that of the female drummers. Together they will try to exemplify and explain the passion they feel for their drumsticks, still. paying the price on many occasions of anonymity.

Mark Lo, a specialist in film music and sound, directs and writes this feature film, which becomes the second for the British after 'Noir-Man'.
