Count

'Count' is a Warner Pictures and Safehouse Pictures production based on the novel written by Alexandre Dumas 'The Count of Monte Cristo'. This film, which will be a contemporary retelling of this classic from the world-wide literature, will be set in the marginal and criminal world of today's society. William Eubank, 'The Signal' director which won in the Sitges Film Festival the Best Visual Effects Award, will be directing the film while Joe Pokaski, producer of hit TV-Series such as 'Heroes' and 'Daredevil' will be writing the script. 'The Count of Monte Cristo' tells the story of Edmond Dantes, a man who has to spend several years in prison for a crime he didn't commit after being framed. While in there, he met an old man who told him about a big fortune so after escaping from jail he returns as the Count of Monte Cristo seeking vengeance.
