'Corpus Christi' tells us the story of Daniel, a 20-year-old young man, who will experience a profound spiritual transformation while living in a Juvenile Detention Center because of his turbulent past. Following this drastic change in its personality, this regretful toung boy will decide that his goal in life is to be a priest, whatever it takes. Obviously, this dream is absolutely impossible due to his criminal record. However, willing to do everything he can to get it, when he is sent to work at a carpentry shop in a small town, Daniel will be dressed as a priest upon arrival and thus accidentally take over the small local parish. The arrival of the young and charismatic false-preacher is a golden opportunity for the local community to finally begin the process of healing and reconversion after a terrible tragedy that occurred there.
The film, by Polish director Jan Komasa, is set in the dramatic genre and has received a very good acceptance from critics.
