Plot
'Le Mépris' or 'Contempt' is a movie from 1963 directed by filmmaker Jean-Luc Godard. It is based by the book ' Il Disprezzo' written by Alberto Moravia. It stars Brigitte Bardot, Jack Palance, Michel Piccoli and Giorgia Moll. In the cast also appears Austrian Filmmaker Frinz Lang as himself.
Paul Javas, a novelist and playwright is hired by Jeremy Prokosch to rework on the script of Homer's 'Odyssey' which is going to be directed by Frinz Lang, due to the dissatisfaction of the producer after seeing the first attempt of the movie. During the shooting in the Isle of Capri and after an unfortunate first encounter, Javal's wife, Camille (Brigitte Bardot) will become the producer's object of desire and all the characters' stories will intertwine with the plot of the movie.
