The Mitchells vs. the Machines

'Connected' is a comedy animation feature by Sony Pictures. The Mitchell family is like any other family and its members are distanced from each other because of the new technologies. Katie is the older sister. She has entered in the film school she always dreamt of. The day right before flying for college, Katie and her dad Rick have a fight. Her dad wants to fix his mistake and he changes the plan. He is a nature passionate so he makes the whole family go with Katie to college in a last family road trip. Joining Rick and Katie are Katie's mom, Linda, Katie's younger brother Aaron and their dorky little pug Mochi. The family trip will get interrupted by a technological rebellion: all the machines, smartphones, electrical appliances and the new personal assistance robots are taking over. The whole family, joined by two friendly robots, must save the world.

This film is written and directed by Mike Rianda (known for 'Gravity Falls') and Jeff Rowe. Phil Lord and Christian Miller are producing ('Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse'). The voices cast includes Olivia Colman (?The Crown?), Maya Rudolph (?The Good Place?), Danny McBride (?Pineapple Express?), Eric Andre (?Lion King?), Abbi Jacobson (?Broad City?) y the director himself Mike Rianda.
