Companion

Iris and Josh are two young people who meet in a small local store in the United States. Although their encounter is somewhat awkward due to his nerves, they fall in love at first sight and begin a relationship. Together, they decide to go on a trip to a rural house near the lake with some of Josh's friends and their respective partners. Thus, they stay at the house of Kat's boyfriend, who is part of the group and has somewhat exaggerated hospitality.

During their stay, Iris is a bit shy and finds it difficult to socialize with the other people in the house since it is her first time meeting them. In one of their conversations, Iris reveals that she feels somewhat vulnerable due to her exaggerated dependence on Josh. In response, Josh confesses that she is a robot created solely to fulfill all kinds of needs for her partner, revealing Iris's true nature and thus starting a trail of blood that the rest of the humans will have to escape from or confront.

The film is directed by Drew Hancock, who makes his cinematic debut with this thriller starring Sophie Thatcher ('Heretic') as Iris and Jack Quaid ('The Boys') as Josh. They are joined in the cast by Megan Suri, Lukas Cage, Rupert Friend, and Harvey Guillén.
