Plot
'Closely Observed Trains' is a Czechoslovakian drama directed by Jirí Menzel and set during Nazi occupation of the country. It tells the story of Milos, a young man who works at the train station with his companion and friend Hubicka. Both have to endure their insane and false boss Zednicek, but thank goodness is the beautiful telegrapher Zdenka. One day, the team is assigned a special commission, to monitor some of the station's most important trains, as they are essential to Hitler's occupation strategies in the region. Milos will see the mission as an opportunity to become a man, but a problem distracts him from his goal: he is not able to satisfy his girlfriend.
