Close-Knit

Tomo is an 11-year-old girl with great independence and personality. She grew up used to the unstable nature of her mother, Hiromi, and that's why she knows how to proceed when she, all of a sudden, disappears. She moves to his uncle's house, Makio, his mother's brother, who lives with his girlfriend Rinko, a transwoman. She works as a nurse in the home where Sayuri lives, Makio's mother. Little by little, life in the home of the small family will become something that reminds of a sweet routine. Rinko will take care of Tomo the best way she can, teaching her to knit in order to get in control of her emotions. That is a habit she herself learned from her own mother when she was struggling during her teens, the worst years of her life.
