Suddenly, a bright light catches him and after that moment he begins to have strange visions and hear the same five musical notes in his mind. What do those visions mean? Who causes them? Neary will do everything possible to find answers to a whole series of events that keep him completely obsessed. His desire to discover the truth will make him join Jillian Guiler (Melinda Dillon), a woman who also has witnessed close encounters with an O.V.N.I. with the aim of investigating the origin and the reason of the events.
