Chickenhare and the Hamster of Darkness

'Chickenhare and the Hamster of Darkness' is an animated film directed by Ben Stassen and Benjamin Mousquet. It is written by David Collard and has a running time of approximately 91 minutes. The film tells the story of Hopper, the adopted son of King Peter, a famous adventurer who was born half chicken and half hare. Eager to be accepted despite his differences and peculiar characteristics, Hopper embarks on an exciting adventure together with his faithful servant Abe, a sarcastic tortoise, and Meg, a fearless and adventurous skunk expert in martial arts, in search of the coveted relic known as the Hamster of Darkness. In this way, the protagonist wants to prove his courage and worth despite his unique appearance. The three of them face Lapin, a villain whose recent escape from prison threatens the peace of the kingdom, and who intends to arrive before them to get the aforementioned object.

The film is a co-production between Belgium and France, and is produced by Dark Horse Comics, Octopolis and nWave Pictures.

'Chickenhare and the Hamster of Darkness' is based on the graphic novel of the same name by Chris Grine published by Dark Horse.

The film will be released for the first time in theaters throughout Spain on October 28, 2022.
