On July 18, 1969, the Senator "Ted" Kennedy leaves a party on the island of Chappaquiddick accompanied by Mary Jo Kopechne, who was the official secretary of his brother who was tragically killed. That night the alcohol was part of the deal and Robert Kennedy, who was really drunk at that time, took the car to go back home. In an unexpected turn of events, he falls from the top of an old bridge and end up in a lake. As a result of the accident only Ted survives, and Mary Jo results dead.
