Happiness takes over Montse when she learns that she will spend a weekend with her entire family in the idyllic surroundings of Cadaqués. She is a woman who divorced her husband some time ago and whose children have distanced themselves from her. However, she longs to have two dreamlike days, even if it means destroying her own past.

'Casa en llamas' is directed by Dani de la Orden, known for comedies such as 'El pregón', 'El mejor verano de mi vida', 'Litus', 'Hasta que la boda nos separe', 'Mamá o papá', 'Loco por ella', produced by Netflix, and 'El test'. This time, it features a cast led by Emma Vilarasau, whom we have seen in 'Los sin nombre' by Jaume Balagueró, 'Utopía' by María Ripoll, or in Patricia Ferreira's films 'Para que no me olvides' and 'Los niños salvajes'. It also stars Goya winner Enric Auquer ('Quien a hierro mata', 'La línea invisible'), Maria Rodríguez Soto ('Los días que vendrán', 'Las de la última fila'), Alberto San Juan, whom the Catalan filmmaker previously directed in 'Barcelona, noche de invierno', Clara Segura ('Mar adentro', 'Tres metros sobre el cielo'), and Macarena Garcia ('Blancanieves', 'La llamada').
