Carver

Ernesto is a security guard in a supermarket where he spends every day of his work watching customers through security cameras. At night, he changes his supermarket guard uniform for the Carver suit and patrols and protects the neighborhood from the dangers that it may have. One day, Alicia tells him that they could try to be heroes in a real case: they will have to hunt down a drug dealer, but this one is someone special, is the one who has killed his brother. As the days pass and, especially, the nights in which he patrols, the life of Ernesto, also known as Captain Carver, becomes more strange and confusing, reaching to a point where it is impossible for him to know what is real in his life and what is imaginary, an invention of his head.

In 'Carver', Ernesto is the character through which the movie pretends to reflect the toxic masculinity of our society.

The russian filmmaker Evgeny Yablokov, screenwriter of short films such as '72 Virgenes', 'Mundos' and 'Nómada', is the director and screenwriter of 'Carver'. This film is the first feature film in which Evgeny Yablokov works as a director. Víctor Rivas, Mar del Corral, Yala Romero, Lamine Thior, Susi Lillo, Mafalda Carbonell and Aarón Martin Aguado star in this movie.
