Carry-On

Ethan Kopek is a young airport security guard at Los Angeles International Airport who is working on Christmas Day. While inspecting one of the bags, he finds an earpiece accompanied by a message asking him to put it on. Then, a stranger begins to speak to him, asking him to follow all his instructions in exchange for keeping his girlfriend, who also works at the airport, alive. Thus, Kopek follows the stranger's instructions, who intends to smuggle a bag with dangerous cargo onto one of the planes, until he quickly discovers his identity. However, the stranger has deployed a network that could lead to the murder of everyone at the airport, leaving the protagonist with few options other than risking a confrontation with him and uncovering what is hidden in one of the bags that is about to take off to an unknown destination and objective.

This film is directed by Jaume Collet-Serra ('Jungle Cruise' or 'Black Adam') and stars Taron Egerton ('Kingsman') as Ethan Kopek, Sofia Carson ('Heartbroken') as the protagonist's girlfriend, and Jason Bateman ('Ozark' or 'Game Night') as the stranger with mysterious intentions.

The movie has achieved the best opening for a Netflix film in all of 2024, with over 42 million views.
