Candy Cane Lane

'Candy Cane Lane' is the new Christmas comedy from Amazon Prime Video starring Eddie Murphy. The story follows a family at Christmas time. Chris, the typical family man, whom Murphy plays, has the goal of winning his neighborhood's annual Christmas decorating contest that year. He wants to win the prize at all costs. He runs into a mischievous elf named Pepper, played by Jillian Bell, and without realizing it, Chris finds himself involved in a deal with the magical being to improve his chances of winning. The elf casts a magic spell where the 12 Christmas Days come to life and wreak havoc throughout the city.

Chaos breaks loose and the family doesn't want to risk ruining the Christmas holidays. So Chris, his wife Carol, played by Tracee Ellis Ross, and their three children will come together to rescue Christmas. They must race against the clock to break Pepper's spell. Along the way they must fight against twisted magical characters who will not make it easy at all and defeat them to save Christmas for everyone.

The film is directed by Reginald Hudlin and written by Kelly Younger, who wrote the script inspired by her own Christmas experiences on Candy Cane Lane, El Segundo, California. Brian Grazer, Eddie Murphy, Karen Lunder and Charisse Hewitt-Webster are producing, while Doug Merrifield is executive producing. The film reunites director Reginald Hudlin, Murphy and producer Brian Grazer since their 1992 hit, 'Boomerang'.
