Cadejo Blanco

Award-winning American director Justin Lerner ('The Automatic Hate', 'Girlfriend') tackles the reality of his host country, Guatemala, with 'Cadejo Blanco', a production that he presented in the Official Selection of the 2022 Malaga Film Festival, a thriller drama inspired by real events. Narrated from the point of view of its protagonists, it offers a different look at the violence in Central America. A raw story of the descent into hell of a courageous sister doomed to become everything that she, in principle, she despised. Winner of three awards at the Icarus Film Festival in Central America.

After the disappearance of her sister, Sarita (Karen Martínez), a working-class girl from Guatemala City, travels to the coastal city of Puerto Barrios to befriend Andrés (Rudy Rodríguez), her sister's dangerous ex-boyfriend, and infiltrate in her gang, convinced that she has something to do with it. With an unwavering determination to uncover the truth, Sarita becomes increasingly involved with Andrés and the unforgiving world of his gang.
