Plot
The documentary 'Cabeza y Corazón', directed by Ainhoa Andraka and Zuri Goikoetxea, follows the history of the chair basketball teamin its growth until achieving historic participation in the Paralympic Games. The documentary has been screened at the Gijón International Film Festival (FICX), where it won the Europa Film Festival - Young Europe Audience Award for Best Feature Film Direction and at the San Sebastián Film and Human Rights Festival.
The only participation of the women's chair basketball team in a Paralympic event was in Barcelona '92. Then they did not need to qualify since they achieved the place as host country. Twenty-four years later they have the opportunity to qualify for the Paralympic Games. The team, despite having fewer resources than teams from other countries, is making its way against all odds in international competitions. A look that could be that of just another player intimately portrays athletes who grow physically and psychologically throughout an Olympic cycle until achieving historic qualification for Tokyo 2020-1.
Ainhoa Andraka and Zuri Goikoetxea become one more member of the team for practically an Olympic cycle, with the aim of getting to know the team beyond the wheelchair and their respective disabilities.
