By the Sea

Set in France during the mid-1970s, Vanessa is a former dancer who travels the world with her husband Rolland, an American writer. Although appearing to happiness, they know that they are increasingly distanced from each other. Their journey through Europe leads them to a picturesque seaside village. Entranced by the beauty of the landscape, they decide to stay a while and begin to make contact with the inhabitants of this lovely valley. Including the owner of the café where Rolland drinks coffee while finding inspiration or hotel manager where the couple are staying. Third film directed by Angelina Jolie, the film stars for her, Brad Pitt, Mélanie Laurent, Niels Arestrup, Melvil Poupaud and Richard Bohringer.
