Plot
'Burning Men' tells the story of two down-on-their-luck twenty-somethings, Ray (Ed Hayter, 'Will') and Don (Aki Omoshaybi, 'Doctor Who') who are kicked out of their flat in London. The two try and visualise their sudden eviction as an opportunity for them to escape England, so they sell their remaining belongings to book a flight to the United States and pursue their dreams of being famous musicians.
Once they settle in States and start playing music regularly, their vinyl EP records don't sell well and so to make ends meet, they end up stealing an extremely rare and valuable Black Metal record from some collectors and fleeing North with it. On the way, the pick up some girls, one of whom is Susie (Elinor Crawley 'Doctors', 'Vikings'), who seems to be far more self-aware and grounded than the guys themselves.
As their journey in a beaten-up Volvo with Susie continues in a road-trip like structure, the two aspiring musicians becoming increasingly paranoid as dark forces begin to stalk them, apparently connected to the demonic record they have claimed as their own.
Directed by Jeremy Wooding ('Peep Show') and co-written by Wooding and music journalist Neil Spencer, 'Burning Men' is a drama set against the backdrop of record shops.
