Breaking Point

'Breaking Point', originally titled 'Un coup de dés', is a French film directed by Yvan Attal, known for 'My Wife is an Actress' and 'The Accused', released in France in 2023. It was screened at the opening of the Cinéroman festival, in October 2023 and will arrive in Spain on May 24, 2024 thanks to Inopia Films.

The film follows the story of two lifelong friends: Mathieu and Vincent. Thanks to Vincent, Mathieu has found a house, a job and has even kept his life when he got him out of the worst thing you can imagine ten years ago. Both currently live with their respective partners, Juliette and Delphine, in Nice, on the Côte d'Azur, and between the four of them they share a very special bond. Everything seems perfect... but one of them keeps a secret that could break everything.

It turns out that Vicent has been cheating on his wife for some time and Mathieu ends up discovering it . What will he do then? Will she uncover the infidelity of his best friend or will she be loyal to his secret? Before he even wants to be able to make a decision, a new event happens that turns things even more upside down. In an unexpected accident, Mathieu kills Vincent's lover and among the four friends a network of lies, betrayal, guilt and cowardice begins to create.

The story is inspired by a text titled 'Ball-trap' by Éric Aaapus and has a script adapted by Attal and Yaël Langmann. The cast of actors is made up of Attal himself, in the role of Mathieu, along with Maïween as Delphine, Guillaume Canet as Vicent, Marie-Josée Croze as Juliet, Alma Jodorowsky as Elsa, Vincent's lover and Víctor Belmondo as Alex, with original music by Dan Levy.
