According to the director Ali Abbasi, his inspirational influences are the job of Chantal Ackerman, Federico Fellini o Luis Buñuel. Abbasi even called his son 'Luis' in in honor of the Spanish director.

The film is based on the novel 'Gräns' of the Swedish writer John Ajvide Lindqvist.

The film won Best Movie in the category of 'Un Certain Regard' of the festival of Cannes 2018.

The authour of 'Let me in'

John Ajvide Lindqvist is the author of the novel which is based 'Border' and he is also the original writer of the story behind the film of 2008 of Thomas Alfredson 'Let me in'.
