Boiling Point

It's the busiest day of the year at one of London's trendiest restaurants. Its head chef is Andy Jones (Stephen Graham), a well-known and charismatic Michelin-starred chef. His mission is to make sure the night goes perfectly so that everything he has achieved doesn't fall apart. He must also deal with this situation while struggling with a personal crisis. On top of all this, a health inspector pays them an unexpected visit as the restaurant becomes increasingly crowded. Andy will try to resolve the tensions between management and workers by cajoling his team. All this while the demands of the customers pile up.

The film was a great success at the British Independent Film Award, winning 11 nominations and 4 awards, including Best Casting, Best Cinematography, Best Sound and Best Supporting Actress for Vinette Robinson. It was directed by Philip Barantini, director of several short films, including the film of the same name, which inspired the film. In addition to Graham and Robinson, the cast includes Alice Feetham, Jason Flemyng, Hannah Walters, Malachi Kirby, Izuya Hoyle, Taz Skylar, Lauryn Ajufo, Ray Panthaki, Lourdes Faberes, Daniel Larkai, Áine Rose Daly, Rosa Escoda, Stephen McMillan, Thomas Coombes, Gary Lamont and Robbie O'Neill.
