Blue Bayou

'Blue Bayou' is a film that introduces us to the emotional and touching story of Antonio LeBlanc (played by Justin Chon). He is a man who was born in Korea and then he was adopted by a family from Louisiana in which he grew up. Antonio works nowadays as a tattoo artist in the city of New Orleans and is married to Kathy (played by Alicia Vikander), the love of his life, who has a daughter named Jessie from a previous engagement. Antonio loves Jessie likes his real daughter. Also Kathy is now pregnant with her first child together. Antonio will struggle to support his family and to survive, as he is constantly being haunted by his past, since he was in prison. He will also have to deal with Kahty's ex-boyfriend, Ace (Mark O'Brien) who works as a police in Louisiana and wants to be more present in the life of Jessie, her daughter, after abandoning her many years ago. Everything changes when suddenly Antonio is arrested one day for an argument in a grocery store and the police brought him to the Immigration Department, which will threaten to deport him and take him back to Korea. Together with Kathy, they will manage to find a legal solution to prevent this from happening, facing the possibility that their paths may separate forever.
