Plot
Iris Evans (Suki Waterhouse, 'Pride + Prejudice + Zombies') is a young and talented singer-songwriter who has been hired to write a score for a multi-million dollar Hollywood feature film. Amidst her work, she travels home to Wales to visit her family, particularly her terminally ill mother, to celebrate Christmas together. Despite familial obligations, her record company sends over renowned romantic-comedy score composer, Eleanor (Jennifer Grey, 'Dirty Dancing'), to help Iris fulfil her side of the contract when a bout of writer's block hits her. The complicated situation as Iris tries to balance the challenges of her professional and personal lives worsens when Iris's on-again-off-again ex-boyfriend, Bobby (Craig Roberts, 'The Fundamentals of Caring'), comes back on the scene, convinced their relationship is worth salvaging. Iris must find a way to spend precious time with her mother whilst also overcoming her creative hurdles alongside Eleanor to create an emotional soundtrack that speaks to people in this British comedy-drama.
'Bittersweet Symphony' is written and directed by Jamie Adams ('Songbird', 'Wild Honey Pie!'). Joining the cast are Poppy Delevigne ('Riviera'), Keiron Self ('My Family'), Claire Cage ('Being Human'), Griffin Dunne ('Dallas Buyers Club') and Richard Elis ('Coronation Street').
