Beyond the Clouds

'Beyond the Clouds' is the first Indian film by the Iranian director Majid Majidi, starring Ishaan Khatter and Malavika Moharan, and counts with an original soundtrack composed by A. R. Rahman. Set in Mumbai, this film introduces us to the relationship between a brother and a sister. Tamir is a teenager who avoids problems while dealing with drugs in the slums of Mumbai. After a raid, Tamir manages to escape from the police and ends up in the house of his sister Tara who, due to the complications involved with hiding him, ends up in jail. However, her brother represents her only hope of returning to live outside and, although their future is in doubt, there are still possibilities to see the light beyond the clouds.
