Benito Pérez Buñuel

Benito Pérez Galdós and Luis Buñuel, they were two artists from different disciplines: cinema and literature. Who was one and who the other? What do they have in common? What did they disagree on? 'Benito Pérez Buñuel' is an animated documentary that tries to unite and disseminate the paths of these personalities of Spanish culture. It is about telling the relationship between the two artists through a journey full of context, knowledge, exclusives and information provided by renowned specialists, fans and other personalities close to the figure of the two award-winning thinkers.

The idea of ??'Benito Pérez Buñuel' was born in 2020 when the 120th anniversary of director Luis Buñuel coincided with the centenary of the death of Benito Pérez Galdós. Luis Roca, a director based in the Canary Islands, is in charge of this production as director and screenwriter, while Marta de Santa Ana Pulido is in charge of the production.

José Luis Gil gives voice to the narration of the documentary while Luis Bajo (older Buñuel), Jerónimo Saavedra (Galdós), Manuel Castillo Lago (Federico García Lorca), Joel Bosqued (young Buñuel), Mari Carmen Sánchez (Galdós's mother) and Francisco Montesdeoca (Galdós's father) is in charge of giving the voice to the rest of the characters.
