Babyteeth

The story of 'Babyteeth' focus on Milla (Eliza Scanlen). She is a teeneager who one day falls in love of Moses (Toby Wallace) despite her parents, Henry (Ben Mendelsohn) and Anna (Essie Davis). However, Milla lives a journey to learn the meaning of love. Finally, her family worst nightmare becomes a funny disaster.

'Babyteeth' is the first long movie as director of the filmmaker Shannon Murphy ('Killing Eve', 'On the Ropes', 'Offspring ') after several tv series and shot-movies. The script is written by Rita Kalnejais who adapts her own play, 'Babyteeth', into her first movie.

The cast is completed with Ben Mendelsohn ('Rogue One: A Star Wars story', 'Capitain Marvel', 'Ready Player One'), Eliza Scanlen ('Little Women', 'Sharp objects', 'Home and Away'), Essie Davis ('The Babadook', 'Assassin's Creed', 'True Story with Hamish & Andy'), Toby Wallace ('The Society', 'Boys in the Trees', 'Romper Stomper'), Andrea Demetriades ('Janet King', 'Dark Whispers Vol 1', 'Squinters') y Emily Barclay ('Diary of an Uber Driver', 'Offspring', 'The Light Between Oceans').

The movie was well reviewed in Venice Film Festival, where Toby Wallace got the Marcello Mastroianni Award for Best Young Actor. The film also got the Special Mention in Zurich Film Festival.
