'The Tutor' is the story of Elisabet, a mother who is urgently summoned for a meeting with the school administration. The reason is that something has happened between Armand, her son, and one of his classmates named Jon. Both are 6 years old. The problem is that no one knows exactly what has happened. Is it just a children's game? Is this something more serious? Secrets and accusations soon emerge between parents and teachers, causing the meeting, which promised to be serious and formal, to spiral out of control.

A film by Halfdan Ullmann Tøndel that marks his debut in the world of feature films. Starring Renate Reinsve, who rose to fame for her leading role in 'The Worst Person in the World'. The film was chosen as Norway's candidate for Best International Feature Film at the 2025 Academy Awards, although it ultimately was not one of the nominees.
