Plot
'Argentina, 1985' is directed by Santiago Mitre ("El estudiante", "La cordillera") and written by him and Mariano Llinás. It is about the trial of the Juntas Militares, a judicial process carried out by the civil justice system in Argentina in 1985 by decree of President Raúl Ricardo Alfonsín (1983-1989) against the members of the first three Juntas Militares of the dictatorship called Proceso de Reorganización Nacional (1976-1983), due to their serious and massive violations of human rights. It is a true story that follows the story of Julio Strassera, Luis Moreno Ocampo and their young legal team who had the courage to prosecute, despite the risk involved, the biggest and bloodiest military dictatorship in Argentine history. A seemingly impossible war for them, an impossible victory.
The film's cast includes Ricardo Darín, Peter Lanzani, Alejandra Flechner, Carlos Portaluppi, Norman Briski, Héctor Díaz, Alejo García Pintos, Claudio Da Passano, Gina Mastronicola, Walter Jakob and Laura Paredes.
Pedro Osuna will be in charge of the music, while Javier Julía will be in charge of the film's photography.
Argentina, 1985' will hit theatres in Spain on 30 September through A Contracorriente Films, a few weeks before its premiere on Prime Video.
