Apollo 10½: A Space Age Adventure

Third animated feature film by Richard Linklater, acclaimed director of 'Boyhood' and 'Before Sunrise' trilogy, after 'Waking Life' and 'A Scanner Darkly'. Presented at the South by Southwest (SXSW) event and released in select theaters in the United States before its international release on Netflix. A title that delves into the childhood and memories of a 9-year-old boy, born in 1960, in one of the most important years for Humanity in contemporary history: 1969.

Before July 20, 1969, the historic day that man stepped on the Moon, it was quite an event in the suburbs of Houston, in a residential area where NASA workers lived. It is the story of Stanley, a 9-year-old boy, the youngest in a family of six children. His father is the head of the NASA postal service. Despite the administrative nature of his father's work, that does not stop little Stanley from dreaming of traveling to space and learning amazing stories about the 400,000 workers who made it possible for man to set foot on the Moon.

A trip to childhood inspired by Linklater's own childhood, who was nine years old in 1969. From Houston, Texas, the filmmaker was one of the more than 600 million viewers who saw the Apollo 11 moon landing live on the satellite Earth and how Commander Neil Armstrong and Pilot Edwin F. Aldrin set foot on lunar territory, leaving their names for posterity.

A production directed and written by Richard Linklater, who produces the film along with Tommy Pallotta, Mike Blizzard, Femke Wolting and Bruno Felix. An animation production, in its original English dubbing, starring Jack Black, Zachary Levi, Glen Powell, Josh Wiggins, Lee Eddy, Bill Wise; in addition with actors such as Milo Coy, Natalie L'Amoreaux, Jessica Brynn, Sam Chipman and Danielle Guilbot.
