Anselm

'Anselm' is a documentary in which Wim Wenders, the director of 'Perfect Days' and 'Paris, Texas', creates a portrait of the artist Anselm Kiefer, one of the most important and innovative painters and sculptors of our time. Filmed in 3D with a 6k resolution, the film presents a cinematic experience of the artist's work that explores human existence and the natural cycle of history, drawing inspiration from literature, poetry, philosophy, science, mythology, and religion. Over the course of two years, Wenders followed Kiefer's journey from his native Germany to his current country of residence, France, connecting the settings of his life and the spaces where he has developed his career for over fifty years.
