Annihilation

From the writer and director of 'Ex-Machina' and based in the sci-fi novel with the same name 'Annihilation', written by Jeff VanderMeer, the film is set in a non-defined future where a biologist played by Natalie Portman, Lena, leads a group of women (Gina Rodriguez, Tessa Thompson and Jennifer Jason Leigh) to a mysterious alien section of planet Earth. The place is called "Area X" and all the people that have gone there to explore have never come back. An area outside a house with plant structures that are formed to look like human bodies. While searching clues of her husband's disappearance the biologist and her group must deal with a contamination, vanishing colleagues, a deadly animal and a creature known as the Crawler.
