The Super Mario Bros. Movie

Nintendo partners with Illumination Entertainment, the studio behind 'Despicable Me', 'Minions' and 'Pets', to create the first big animation film starring the most famous plumber in the videogame industry. 'The Super Mario Bros. Movie' will put Mario against his archnemesis, Bowser, who is travelling through worlds in the collection of stars. However, Mario won't be alone. He will be joined in this adventure by his brother Luigi, Princess Peach and the loyal Toad. We will also see Donkey Kong, Cranky Kong, Kamek and Spike.

'The Super Mario Bros. Movie' is directed by Aaron Horvath ('Teen Titans GO! to the Movies') and Michael Jelenic, with a script by Matthew Fogel ('Minions: Rise of Gru'). Chris Pratt, Anya Taylor-Joy, Jack Black, Charlie Day, Keegan-Michael Key, Seth Rogen, Kevin Michael Richardson, Fred Armisen and Sebastian Maniscalco form the main voice cast of the movie.

The animation studio led by Chris Meledandri has worked side by side with Shigeru Miyamoto to make a movie that is the most faithful to the video games. Charles Martinet, the voice of Mario in the games, will be a part of the film. Koji Kondo has also collaborated with composer Brian Tyler to create the music. Universal Pictures will bring the movie to cinemas.
