Anatomía de un Dandy

'Anatomía de un Dandy' is a documentary that portrays one of the most important journalists and writers in the Spanish language: Francisco Umbral.

Through exhaustive documentation work, those responsible for the film have for the first time accessed documents such as cassette tapes with intimate and unpublished interviews that offer a new dimension of the character.

The film also features valuable testimonies from the author's widow, friends, and colleagues who help shed a new light on the most unknown aspects of his life. Behind a character created by the Umbral itself is a life full of enigmas that remained unanswered after his death in 2007, leaving behind more than 10,000 articles and almost 200 novels that always took as a reference his personal experiences that they did nothing but promote the myth and the enigma of the Dandy.

'Anatomía de un Dandy' is directed by Charlie Arnaiz and Alberto Ortega who began their careers as directors and executive producers of documentaries with their debut feature entitled 'Although you don't know it. The poetry of Luís García Montero 'in 2016. Since then they have made other works such as 'Ramoncín. Una vida en el filo', 'Niña Pastori. Una noche en el Real', 'Manuel Carrasco. Me dijeron de pequeño' or 'Camilo Sinfónico'.
