An Officer and a Gentleman

The director of 'Against All Odds' and 'The Devil's Advocate' made in 1982 one of the most memorable films of the era. Richard Gere plays Zack Mayo, a young man who decides to enter the Naval Academy and the United States will have more of a conflict with the strict military discipline. This unstable situation try to fix the sergeant Foley (Louis Gossett), with a tight training that will make you reach the limit Zack. Befriends Sid (David Keith) in navy school, both will become candidates for pilot. In the village they will meet Lynette (Lisa Blount) and Paula (Debra Winger), two young women which will end up falling in love. But his superiors warn them that the local women just want to marry military ambition. When Sid is abandoned by Lynette, Zack doubt that professes love Paula. Some questions that will jeopardize their relationship.
