An Ardent Heart

'An Ardent Heart' tells the story of Lupe Valdés, a successful writer who investigates the appearances of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in search of inspiration for her next novel. Guided by María, an expert in mysteries, Lupe uncovers the revelations to Saint Margarita María de Alacoque and she comes to learn about a few significant figures such as saints, murderers, exorcists, popes, presidents, conspirers in addition to the miracles and crimes wrapped up in the records. Through the investigation, Lupe will also uncover the secrets hidden by her own heart as she works to heal the invisible scars that still linger there.

'An Ardent Heart' is directed by Andrés Garrigó ('Fatima the Ultimate Mystery', 'Francis. The Pope of Change) and written by him along Pedro Delgado ('Light of Soledad', 'Poveda', 'Alexia'). The movie stars Karyme Lozano ('Si Dios me quita la vida', 'Soñar No Cuesta Nada', 'Amar sin límites'), Ignacio Ysasi ('Morocco: Love in Times of War', 'Tongue Tied', 'Derecho a soñar'), Carmelo Crespo ('La que se avecina', 'Paco's Men', 'Servir y proteger'), María Vallejo-Nágera, Yolanda Ruiz and Claudio Crespo.
